Options abound with this ziggity cowl! Choose either two contrasting 4 oz skeins or one mini-skein pack in our “Cheshire Cat” or “Queen of Hearts” fingering weight yarn and then work one of two versions of the pattern.
No matter what you choose, it’s an eye-catching accessory.

The blue/green cowl is the “Skinny Stripe” version worked with Sleeping Gryphon and TumTum Tree in our Cheshire Cat fingering weight yarn.

The grey gradient cowl is the “Mini-Pack” version worked in our Down the Rabbit Hole: Too Much Pepper colorway in a Queen of Hearts mini-skein pack.

Yarn option 1:  Wonderland Yarns “Cheshire Cat” sock/fingering weight mini-skein pack, 640 yards/5 oz pack;  100% superwash merino:  1 pack, (colors A-E) for gradient or wide stripes OR Wonderland Yarns “Cheshire Cat” sock/fingering weight, 4 oz skein: 512 yds:  1 skein each of two colors for skinny stripe version (shown in “Sleeping Gryphon” and “TumTum Tree”) 

Yarn option 2:  Wonderland Yarns “Queen of Hearts” sock/fingering weight mini-skein pack, 510 yards/5 oz pack; 80% superwash merino, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon:  1 pack, (colors A-E) for gradient or wide stripes (shown in “Down the Rabbit Hole:  Too Much Pepper” OR Wonderland Yarns “Queen of Hearts” sock/fingering weight, 4 oz skein: 410 yds:  1 skein each of two colors for skinny stripe version 

Needles & Notions:  US size 6 or 7 circular needles, 24-32” long or size necessary to get gauge,  darning needle, stitch marker 

Gauge:  22-23 sts = 3.5 inches in one pattern repeat, approximately 

Measurements:  Mini-Skein Pack version:  36” around, 13” (Queen of Hearts) -22” (Cheshire Cat) tall after blocking; Skinny Stripe version:  33” around, 11-22”+ tall after blocking
