We make it our mission to get your yarn in your hands as quickly as possible! Usually in-stock items—kits, felt notions bags, etc—will ship the same or next business day, but can take up to 3 business days to ship. Custom dyed yarns, excluding bulk orders to shops, ship in 3-14 business days.
We ship our orders with the USPS. If you prefer a different shipping method please contact us so that we can arrange that for you. Depending on how far from Vermont you are, packages typically arrive 3-10 business days after shipping.
Retail orders over $75 ship for free! For orders under $75 shipping costs are figured by location and service desired.
When our yarn is traveling to an international home, we typically ship via Airmail unless you would prefer Parcel Post. We ship orders under 4 pounds by First Class Mail International and packages over 4 pounds by Priority Mail International. Charges will be based on published USPS rates. Shipping charges for international orders will automatically be calculated during checkout. Check USPS.com for the latest rates.
Generally, international orders can take 2–4 weeks to be delivered. Delivery time depends on the destination.
Note for international orders: your country may require duties and additional charges, these will be your responsibility.
If you need your yarn very quickly, and it’s an in-stock item, or something we have on hand; we can ship using an expedited method. Please reach out, let us know what you’d like us to send you, and we’ll see what we can do!

We understand that what you see on a computer screen doesn’t always translate perfectly to what you see in person. We do our best to take color-accurate photos, but monitors and devices will vary. Please keep this in mind when making your selections. Many local yarn shops carry our yarns so you can make your choices in person. Check our “Where to Buy” page to find a shop near you.
If for any reason you need to return something, reach out to us first. If the return is a result of a mistake on our end, we will do our best to make it right. If the order is correct and you'd like to return it, you will be responsible for return shipping costs. Dyed-to-order yarns may not be eligible for return. Please keep this in mind when making your selections.
Items that are eligible for return must be returned in the same condition that they were sent out--we cannot accept returns of wound yarns. Please ship the items to be returned within 30 days of receipt of the order--we recommend delivery confirmation or tracking be used when sending items back. After we receive your return, allow 7 business days for processing and refunding. If your order shipped for free, the actual shipping costs will be deducted from your refund.

If you change your mind before we ship, you may be eligible for a full refund provided we haven’t already dyed the yarn for you. Once dyed, the order cannot be canceled.
Damage during shipment and other unhappy events:
On rare occasions packages will be damaged during shipment. Please let us know immediately.
If a package is missing, but shows as "delivered" when tracked, we cannot file a claim or provide replacements. Please be sure you are having your package delivered to a safe and reliable location as we do not require a signature upon delivery. If you'd like us to require the package be signed for, you must let us know at the time of shipment.
