Description

Bold, bright, and full of personality, this colorful pillow by Deborah George adds a playful pop to any space. Made with eight vibrant shades and topped with a cheerful pom-pom, it’s as fun as it is cozy. Try one of our more muted color collections for understated elegance — polish it off with a focal button. Choose your colors, pick your accents, and make it uniquely yours.

Yarn: Wonderland Yarns “Mad Hatter” sport weight, 100% superwash merino: 8, 1 oz mini skeins (688 yds), plus extra
for pompom (if desired) Our sample used 8 minis from a 20 mini skein collection (So Fond of Rainbows: Fantastical Folly) for
the pillow panels and additional minis in assorted colors for the pom-pom. You could use two 4 oz skeins in contrasting colors or an 8 color mini skein collection.
Additional materials: 18"/46cm pillow form
Needles & Notions: US size 6/4mm needles, 24"/60cm or longer (or size required to get gauge), stitch marker, darning needle,
Optional: pom-pom maker, doll needle (at least 6"/15cm long—for attaching button or pom-pom), sewing thread, focal button
Gauge: 21 sts & 30 rows = 4"/10 cm in stockinette stitch, after blocking
Measurements: each pillow case panel measures 18.5" x 18.5"/47cm x 47cm

Techniques:
· Mattress Stitch for seaming or basic crochet
· Intarsia Color Change for Vertical Stripes (for using 2 colors in one row): You will switch colors in the middle of the pillow.
At the color change, drop the color you are working with over the new color (to the left) and bring the new color from underneath
the old color as you work. Knit or purl a couple of stitches in the new color and gently pull both yarns separately so
that the stitches lay neatly snug.
