With one skein of Summer Silk you can knit up this matching set of scarf and hat band. A lace vine pattern is offset with columns of eyelets and stockinette, which is echoed in the icord edging. If you opt to knit both, consider making the hat band first then you can knit the scarf as long as the leftover yarn allows.
Note: If you’d like to make the scarf and the hat band, you will use every bit of the skein.
Yarn: Wonderland Yarns “Summer Silk” fingering weight, 100% silk noil: 444 yds/4 oz skein , shown in limited edition colorway “Crimea.” One skein will make a scarf and hat band in the measurements listed below.
Needles & Notions: US size 4 needle (or size required to get gauge), darning needle, pins and/or wires for blocking
Gauge: 21 sts & 24 rows = 4"/10 cm in pattern, after blocking
Measurements: Scarf: 7.5"/ 19 cm wide, 64"/ 162 cm long. Hat Band: 3"/ 7.5 cm wide, 55"/ 140 cm long.
