A lace vine pattern is offset with columns of eyelets and stockinette, which is echoed in the icord edging. If you opt to knit both, consider making the hat band first then you can knit the scarf as long as the leftover yarn allows.
Note: If you’d like to make the scarf and the hat band, you will use every bit of the skein.

Needles & Notions: US size 4 needle (or size required to get gauge), darning needle, pins and/or wires for blocking
