The tweed fiber creates an interesting spin full of slubby bits. The staple length seemed shorter than Polwarth or BFL that I normally work with and that made the drafting a little bit of a challenge at first. All in all I liked it.

We start with high-quality wool top—this one is a blend of wool and viscose nepps. The fibers are dyed using a special method that allows the colors to blend and shift, creating a complex colorway.
Please note: Due to the color of the fiber base (light gray) we do not recommend pale colors be dyed on this base as it does not show up well.
We handle the wool top with care to ensure it is lofty and easily drafted. It's easier and more enjoyable to work with quality fiber, and consequently, it yields a better result! Due to the nature of hand dyeing, colors may differ slightly from braid to braid. If working from multiple braids, mix them together as you spin for the most blended look.
