Into the Cave of Wonders socks

The stair-step smocking pattern of these socks allude to stepping down steps going deeper and deeper into the cave of wonders! Chooser your cuff size by measuring your ankle and the rest of the sock is knit to size. Yarn is held double at the heel and toe for extra cushion. 

Yarn: Wonderland Yarns “Cheshire Cat” light fingering weight, 512 yards/4 oz skein; 100% superwash merino: 1 skein: shown in “Cave of Wonders”

Needles & Notions: US size 2/ 2.75mm circular needles, doublepointed needles OR your preferred method for working in the round, darning needle, scrap yarn in similar weight, 2 stitch markers

Gauge: 36 sts & 40 rounds = 4" in pattern, after blocking

Measurements: S-M: cuff measures 6.5" (L: 8.75") the rest of the sock is knit to size

Note: When working this pattern the final repeat you will go over the beginning of round marker, and later into the stockinette section.
