Description

As we venture to Middle Earth with our deSTITCHnation Yarn Club, guest designer Kristy Childress knit this lacy beanie inspired by vast forests and wild woodlands. Fingering weight yarn held double creates a cozy fabric for this hat in a classic leaf lace stitch pattern.

Yarn: Wonderland Yarns “Cheshire Cat” light fingering weight, 100% superwash merino, 512 yds, 4 oz: 1 skein. Shown in limited edition colorway “Rivendell”

Needles & Notions: US size 6/ 4mm circular needles, 16" long AND US size 7/ 4.5mm circular needles, 16" long & dpn (or your preferred method for working in the round) OR size needed to get proper gauge, stitch marker, yarn needle

Gauge: 27 sts & 35 rounds = 4"/ 10 cm in k1 x p1 ribbing and smaller needles with yarn held double, without blocking

Measurements & Sizing: 14"/ 35.5cm around (very stretchy) and 8.75"/ 22cm from cast-on to top of crown; one size fits most, slightly slouchy
