Whatever the Weather — MKAL Temperature Project

Whatever the Weather — MKAL Temperature Project

The thirteenth and final clue is available for November!

This MKAL uses mini skein packs to create a project celebrating and marking the season changes.  Choose from Icy, Mild, and Hot to customize your yarn color to your location’s climate.

You can choose to knit the daily high, or low, or the daily average.  See the temperature chart for our color recommendations.  If you live somewhere that is consistently hotter or colder, you might just want to move.  😉

New instructions will be released regularly.  Each month we’ll explore a different stitch pattern, recording that month’s weather changes.  All stitches will be simple enough for most knitters.

Yarn:  Wonderland Yarns “Mad Hatter” sport weight, 100% superwash merino, mini skeins, 86 yards each: see yarn needs listed with each project below.
Needles & Notions:  US size 6 needles or size required to get gauge (24” or longer circulars to accommodate stitches if you’re knitting the blanket), darning needle, stitch marker
Gauge:  21 sts & 29 rows = 4”
scarf:  16” wide (approx. 860 yds)
wrap:  23” wide  (approx. 1000 yds)
blanket:  52” wide (approx. 2600 yds)

Each project will end up about 75” – 80” long.
