We made two versions using the same pattern, but worked at different gauges. We couldn’t decide which we preferred! The purple scarf was knit on size US 11 needles, getting a gauge of 3 sts an inch resulting in more defined ruffles and roll. The red scarf is longer, softer, and drapier, but the ruffles are more relaxed. For the latter, we used size US 13 needles and got a gauge of 2.5 sts an inch. The purple scarf uses a bit less yarn, but two skeins should be adequate for either.
