Care Instructions

Most of our yarns are superwash wool, which means they’re designed for easier care — no felting surprises here!

  • Washing: Hand-wash gently in cool water. You can also use the delicate cycle in your machine if it’s truly gentle.
  • Soap: We recommend a small amount of mild shampoo or your favorite wool wash. A touch of hair conditioner works beautifully to keep fibers soft and silky.
  • Rinsing: Rinse in cool water, being careful not to agitate.
  • Drying: Press out excess water with a towel (no wringing or twisting). Lay flat to dry, reshaping your project as needed.
Tip: Treat your handmade pieces with the same care you’d give a favorite wool sweater or scarf — a little gentleness goes a long way!

Description

These new SplitShades gradient blossom cakes are hand-dyed to use with our new scenescape motif patterns — like city skylines, and cemetery gates! Worked from both ends of the cake, each end contrasts with the other creating a beautiful soft fade background to your pattern. 

Each gradient blossom cake comes with a QR code/website link to access a colorwork pattern. 

SplitShade cakes are only available on Mary Ann sock/fingering or Mad Hatter sport 4 oz cakes.
