Inspired by the classic board game ‘Clue,’ this cowl provides you with a set of colorwork charts to show your own version of who-dunnit. Designed as a double-wrap cowl, this pattern can be modified to work until you have a length you're happy with — longer or shorter!
Choose your chart order and start stitching away!
Also included is a PDF "Clue" story — written by our staff — as a fun side-element to your cowl; as well as the digital PDF of the charts.
PROJECT LEVEL — Easy (project includes simple stitch patterns, color work, and/or shaping)
Note: Pattern is done in the waistcoat stitch and can be tricky to ensure that it doesn't "slant" during your project. Videos and notes have been provided to help alleviate this problem.
Yarn: 2 skeins of Wonderland Yarns “Mary Ann” sock/fingering weight, 80% superwash merino/20% nylon: 475 yards/4 oz skein; shown on ‘Frost’ colorway; AND one 8-pack of “Mary Ann” sock/fingering weight mini skeins, shown in the ‘Clue’ advent collection
Choosing & Using Colors: The two full skeins are the MC and the 8 mini skeins are the CC. Mix and match and use the contrasting colors however you like, keeping in mind you don’t have to stick to typical colors, for example the cat could be blue. Have fun with it!
Hooks & Notions: US G-6/4 mm AND US H-8/5 mm crochet hooks, stitch markers, yarn needle, blocking pins & mats
Gauge: 4" x 4" = 24 waistcoat st x 28 rows using US H-8/5 mm hook, blocked
Measurements: 8.5" across when laid flat, finished length is at your discretion and depends of charts used.
