Knit this beginner-friendly sweater in a spectrum of color. It features a slightly cropped, box-top fit with
dropped shoulders, rolled boatneck, and loose three-quarter sleeves. Sleeve and body length are easily altered
for an ideal fit. This pattern includes instructions for both top-down and bottom-up knitting.
Knitting from the top-down allows you to try the sweater on as you go and knit a custom fit.
Yarn: Wonderland Yarns “Cheshire Cat” light fingering weight; 100% superwash merino: “So Fond of Rainbows” 20 mini skein collection, 20 x 1 oz skeins, 128 yds per skein. Shown in “Fantastical Folly.” Choose your favorite colors: Sizes 1-4 will use 11 minis, Size 5 will use 13 minis, Size 6 will use 14 minis.
Needles & Notions: US size 4/3.5mm (or size needed to get the proper gauge) circular needles —lengths of 16"/40 cm for the sleeves, 24"/60 cm for the body, (OR your preferred method for working in the round) darning needle, scrap yarn in similar weight, removable stitch markers—one of them unique
Gauge: 24 sts & 36 rounds = 4"/10 cm in stockinette stitch, after blocking (remember sweater gauge is important for a good fit)
Sizes: This standard fitting long sleeve V-neck pullover is worked from the top down. Choose the size with a finished bust
