What starts as a simple triangle slowly comes to life as each new flower blooms from the fabric, creating a gorgeous gradient of texture and color in the Floral Bouquet Shawl by Xandy Peters. The effect is surprisingly addictive — you'll find yourself knitting "just one more row" to see where the next blossom appears.
The only difficult part? Choosing your colors! Luckily, our dye team has done the hard work for you and curated some of our favorite Wonderland colorways into Floral Bouquet shawl kits to help inspire your own blooming bouquet. These special colorburst skeins in each kit features an extra long 17-22 inch 'burst' of color specifically dyed for this shawl.
Kits include 2 skeins of Mary Ann sock/fingering (475 yds per skein), does not include the pattern download. The pattern can be found on Xandy Peters website or Ravelry.com. Kits are dyed-to-order and may take up to 14 business days to ship.
From Xandy Peters website:
This triangular shawl combines a simple ribbed background with a gradient of textural flower shaped bobbles. It starts at the corner in a solid color yarn. Slowly, as the stitch count increases, a second yarn fades into view. The second skein consists of a background color covering the majority of the skein and a smaller amount of intermittent “pop” color. As the knitter encounters each contrasting shade, a special bobble technique is used to create a three-dimensional flower. Just like a paper wrapped bouquet of flowers from the grocery store, what starts as a nondescript wedge of color suddenly blooms into an astounding display of color and texture.
