Description

Use one skein “Mad Hatter” to make a single or double-wrap cowl with spiraling ridges and eyelets. This magical lace pattern is complicated when worked flat, but when worked in the round you only need to remember one simple row.

Yarn:

Wonderland Yarns “Mad Hatter” sport weight, 344 yards/4 oz skein; 1 skein.

Single wrap (at left) shown in “Curiouser” and double wrap (at right) shown in “Muchness”

Needles & Notions:

US size 7 circular needles, 24” for single-wrap cowl, or ’32”-40” for double-wrap cowl; darning needle

Gauge:

16.5 sts & 20 rows = 4 inches

Measurements:

single wrap: 10” wide and 29” around, blocked; double wrap: 8” wide and 52” around, blocked.
